Robyn Wheeler Grange, the Director of the Office of Community Engagement from Argonne National Laboratory, will join us for an informal discussion on our neighbor Argonne’s engagement and impact locally.

More about our presenter:

Robyn Wheeler Grange serves as the first Director of Argonne National Laboratory’s Office of Community Engagement (OCE). Under her leadership, the office delivers structure and intentionality to the laboratory in its effort to extend its capabilities and resources to communities, including those who have historically been underserved. This intentional approach to community engagement provides a strong framework for the inclusive advancement of science and technology through community engaged research, expanded collaborations, and strategic partnerships.

Grange brings to the role a wealth of knowledge with over 20 years of experience in stakeholder management, government affairs, award-winning communications, and community outreach in Chicago and its region. She is a mission-driven professional with a focus on promoting an equitable clean energy transition, enhancing resilience, and facilitating the application of scientific and technical solutions in diverse communities.

Grange has served as Argonne’s Head of State, Local and Regional Public Affairs and Outreach and prior to joining Argonne, she served as District Director for former U.S. Representative Bobby Rush in Illinois, Director of Communications for the United Way (Central Illinois), and Director of the Office of University Relations at Chicago State University.

Robyn holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Media Studies from Hunter College in New York City.
